Cloud hears the chickens from a ways away and gets curious. Honestly, anything is better than brooding over his encounter with Sephiroth. Birds are pretty neat, he thinks, continuing his original path towards the town outskirts- anything to get away from the man who set so many misgivings in motion in his broken mind with a single conversation. For so long, he clung to the need to stop Sephiroth. That the man is evil, and irredeemable, a monster.
