Popp is prepared to wrangle some beasts and scream a lot when he's lightly menaced.

He's poisonous so on one hand you'd think they wouldn't bite him, on the other hand some things that are poison to mammals are fine for plants and vice versa! I think that him being inexplicably very compelling to chew on by plant lizards would be fine entertainment for both the herd and everyone else on the mission.
